About the Association A Professional Body with a Community Heart The Association of Pakistani Physiotherapists in the United Kingdom (APP-UK) was founded in recognition of the significant and growing contribution of Pakistani physiotherapists within UK healthcare systems, alongside the unique challenges faced by internationally mobile professionals building careers far from extended family support networks.

For many members, relocation to the UK involves navigating complex professional registration systems, adapting to new workplace cultures, establishing social networks, supporting families through transition, and managing professional growth alongside personal responsibilities.

APP-UK was established to ensure that no physiotherapist has to navigate these challenges alone. What began as an informal support network has evolved into a structured professional association — balancing governance, professional development, and compassionate community support.
